چکیده
Abstract The neutral beam injectors of the ITER experiment will be based on negative ion sources for generation beams composed by 1 MeV H/D particles. prototype these is currently under testing in SPIDER experiment, part Neutral Beam Test Facility Consorzio RFX, Padua, Italy. Among targets experimentation SPIDER, it foremost importance to maximize current density produced accelerator. operating conditions can optimized thanks a cavity ring-down spectroscopy diagnostic, which provides line-integrated measurements proximity accelerator apertures. specific implementation shows drift ring down time measurements, develops scale few hours, thus possibly affecting estimates plasma pulses h duration, as required ITER. Possible causes and solutions are discussed. Regarding source performance, this paper presents how influenced RF power used sustain plasma, magnetic filter field present limit amount co-extracted electrons. In study, was operated hydrogen deuterium, Cs-free conditions.

POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE ION MASS SPECTRA OF RING - SUBSTITUTED NITROBENZENES
The 70 ev positive and negative ion mass spectra of ring-substituted nitrobenzenes were studied. The influence of the substituent group on the fragmentation modes of the molecular ions is discussed. The effect of pressure in the formation of negative ions was also studied. As expected, the ratio of fragment ions to negative molecular ions decreased with increasing pressure in ion source.
متن کاملSaturated-absorption cavity ring-down spectroscopy.
We report on a novel approach to cavity ring-down spectroscopy with the sample gas in saturated-absorption regime. This technique allows us to decouple and simultaneously retrieve the empty-cavity background and absorption signal, by means of a theoretical model that we developed and tested. The high sensitivity and frequency precision for spectroscopic applications are exploited to measure, fo...
متن کاملAn Introduction to Cavity Ring-Down Spectroscopy
Spectroscopy, the study of the interaction of light (electromagnetic radiation) and matter, is the most ubiquitous and precise method available to the physical scientist. Especially for isolated atoms, molecules, and small clusters, it has no peer. It is used to elucidate the structure and dynamics of quantum systems from atomic nuclei to natural proteins. Essentially everything we know about t...
متن کاملPhase shift cavity ring down absorption spectroscopy
Cavity ring down absorption spectroscopy with a continuous light souree is used to measure the transition frequencies and absolute absorption coefficient of the weak b ItCv' = 2) +--X I;-Cv" = 0) transition of 02. The absorption spectrum is extracted from a measurement of the magnitude of the phase shift that an intensity modulated continuous light beam experiences upon passing through an unsta...
